Nevada State Champs Single Speed DH

The Nevada State Championships in Boulder City played host to the 2011 Canfield Bros. Single Speed Nevada State Champs. This open event brought racers from six states to battle for bragging rights and a huge cup!How to turn your bike into a SS DH:

You don't need a dedicated single speed set-up to run in the race. Most entries were modified for the day. To convert:

1- pull out your derailleur cable.

2- Cut it about 6" long.

3- Run the cable with the metal stop end-(the ball in the shifter) into your derailleur.

4- Run the cable like normal and lock it on the gear you want.

That's It!

Bender hit the trails for most of the day. Here Bender throws out his best "blue steel" impression.

Good times were had by all. You can check out the complete results here at Nevada state Championships Results.

Next event for the iXS/Morewood/Spank tour is the Southridge winter Series Finals in Fontana, CA.
